ASEAN-India car rally reaches Myanmar

Participants of the ASEAN-India Car Rally 2012 received a warm welcome as they reached the capital city of Naypyidaw in Myanmar to enter its penultimate leg. Indian Ambassador to Myanmar, V. N. Seshadri lauded the rally and said that the momentum of bilateral relations between both countries is at an all time high, with events like this strengthening relations further. On his part, Seshadri emphasized the need for construction of trilateral highway, linking Thailand, Myanmar and India to bring the two regions closer together. The ASEAN-India Car Rally 2012, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) kicked off on 26th November 2012 at Yogyakarta in Indonesia with a ceremonial flag off for Singapore.
