Austin Police shared footage to YouTube on April 7 showing the suspect in the April 3 killing of University of Texas (UT) freshman Haruka Weiser on campus.

Police are seeking help in identifying the man, whom they say was seen walking on the north side of the college football stadium at 11:30 pm on the night of the murder. The suspect is “a black male, approximately six feet fall, with an athletic build,” police said, and was in possession of a red or pink women’s bicycle.

Weiser, 18, was from Portland, Oregon, and was studying theater and dance at UT in Austin. The university’s president, Greg Fenves, expressed his condolences to Weiser’s family, classmates, and friends, and said: “The unthinkable brutality against Haruka is an attack on our entire family.” The UT Austin Tower was darkened on the night of April 7 in tribute to Weiser.
