Bangladesh Today: Conclusion of War Crimes Trial necessary before Elections: Ajai Sahni martyrs

The victims of the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971, in which upto three million people were killed and over 3, 00,000 women raped, still await justice. Speaking exclusively to ANI, Executive Director of the Institute for conflict management Dr, Ajai Sahni opined that the closure of the war crime trial is very necessary before elections because if the BNP led opposition coalition comes to power then, the history of these crimes would be forgotten and justice would be denied to the victims. Sahni also said that Pakistan would never be brought to books for being the architect of the genocide in Bangladesh because of Bangla's inability to secure effective international action.
