Barack Obama Breaking News: Obama Administration Officials: No Coup In Egypt

Wochit 1:05 mins

The Obama administration will tell lawmakers that it won't declare Egypt's government overthrow a coup allowing the United States to continue providing $1.5 billion in annual military and economic aid to the Arab world's most populous country. In his third economy speech in two days, President Barack Obama said the House Republican budget is a "bad bargain" for the middle class. Obama says the House GOP wants to cut spending on education, science and clean energy when the country should be investing in those sectors and cutting back in those areas would be like waving a "white flag of surrender" in a global economy. President Barack Obama lectured Republicans for engaging in an 'endless parade of distractions, political posturing and phony scandals' and warned members of Congress that he 'will not allow gridlock, or inaction, or willful indifference' to get in the way of economic progress.
