My guess is he violated the Civil Order because he is not to have any direct or indirect contact with her. The posting, later "found" by his wife would constitute "indirect" contact. With that being said my expierence, as a male, with the courts during a divorce was horrible. She got pregnant by another man while we were married. She had moved out. The judge ordered ME out. She got the house and DID NOT have to pay me a dime for the equity. While she had moved out, I was still paying all the regular bills as well. So in short, I got nothing and she got a house and car and free utilities for cheating on me and getting pregnant. Oh, and the ladies who did the DNA test were less than kind to me as well, even though it WAS NOT my child. I was treated like some guy trying to deny a child etc...

So the ex-wife is "stalking" his page via a 3rd party? When are people going to grow up and let the judicial system handle real issues. NOt petty games over FB between adults who can't get along. It is a free country. She was blocked...she had not right to find out what he had written and complain about it.

she gloating now, but it wont last, She is wrong. The judge was wrong, and I hope he gets put in his place also.

Didn't you have enough money for an attorney? If you had one, he sucked.

This article leaves out a lot of details. That being said - if, for example, his posts constituted libel, or there was some form of Personal Protection Order in place, his posts would have surpassed the limits of free speech. I'm curious to know more details about this case.

You never will know all the details because that is not "juicy" enough for the media. This is why I am not much of a fan of local media

Could be info protected by the court, so that the whole world doesn't know these people's business. Ironic. And the judge may have been considering the impact on the kids. Someone should.

The judge probably put a gag order on that. Good for him if he did. The world does not need to read about his dirty laundry.

his wife is probably a mess too. very sad, men are no longer "men" and women are no longer "women"...they have no idea how to coexist....but their house was beautiful.

I also saw on another news site that he has to unblock her or someone she choses, so they can monitor what he says..She is pathetic. Get over it. Who really cares what ones ex's says about them. I sure wouldn't. To go to this extreme, shows how insure you are.

Everyone shouting that it infriges on his rights has to remember that your rights end where someone else's begins.

yahoo, please let people read in peace w/o running video. I can't get volume to stay off because of ads.

Ok so what is this order that he violated? Talk about an incomplete news report. This just make people jump to his defense blindly. Who takes someone to court over something posted on facebook by thier ex anyways unless there is a serious "game" going on here before this divorce. There really should have been more information to this. I am honestly shaking my head saying this news report could have been good if more information had been added.

Having to apoligize every 30 days is ridiculous, but don't do something when your angry because you can't take it back. Never put it in print for the whole world to see.

You can't protest anymore because they will put you in jail. You can't write what you want because they will put you in jail. Is America still land of the free? I think not.

Clearly this is a violation of his first amendment rights. Furthermore compelling him to apologize on facebook under threat of jail time is coersion.

I just don’t know!!?? Whatever!! He is either a prick or she is a bitc@ and/or the judge is an idiot!!! There is just not enough facts and info here to give a real good judgment! Facebook has way too many issues and problems for one thing! He might have blocked his ex-wife and then FB had tech issues and she ended up unblocked or not blocked at all. I cant tell you how many problems I have had with FB. There is no doubt they have caused a lot of problems with employers, family etc because people thought they were protected.

Sounds like the ex-wife is immature.

I feel sorry for the child. Now the media will be following them around.

ALL BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T LIKE WHAT HE SAID.

GROW UP AND GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • boopshaboom  •  3 mths ago
Dad misused FB. Learn how to use social media responsibly, folks. Social media sites will continue to be the subject of slander and libel suits, I'm sure. Just monitor yourselves, and you won't be in this guy's shoes...

Facebook stinks and it causes WAY more problems that it will ever be worth.

Outrageous! Who was this #$%$ judge? Judge Judy? I'm not a chauvinist, but its hard to picture a male judge making this kind of ruling.
