demolished a final portion of a span for the Daniel Boone Bridge in Chesterfield on Monday, March 7. The bridge had been three spans, including two for eastbound traffic. The old eastbound span was rehabilitated for westbound traffic, and the westbound span was demolished.The westbound span was demolished with two explosions, and the first one was completed on February 18. Chunks of the bridge fell into the Missouri River where crews would remove them. The bridge first opened in 1937.
