Couple Married 72 Years Dies Holding Hands

Both of my parents are still alive,married 72 1/2 years. Dad is 102 mom will be 105 in January.

Such is how I loved my bride for life who went before me yet lives within me... So great is the blessing of love in its richness and in its fullness death cannot destroy it... I live in awe...

This good and faithful couple leave a legacy of love for their family to share and treasure... No greater gift could they leave than that which they left... R I P Good caretakers of love in love...

My parents celebrated 70 years of marriage and my mother passed away one month later. My father lasted another year, but was not himself for all that time. It took a hugh toll on him when my mother passed away. 70 years is a long time. 72 is even longer.

What a beautiful story! I pray my marriage last that long and my kids and grandchildren do too. There's nothing more beautiful than to have a strong loving family. RIP to this beautiful inspiring couple!

very very good. we have 52 years and getting better. not all easy but worked at it and did not quit. Contemplated murder but never divorce, ha ha. Advice: think long and hard, then commit.

i love this story. im a teen who hasnt had a boyfriend b4 and i dont want one until i get older. i want a relationship like this. i dont want those 1 week relationships that have fake love. this story is completely what we need these days

We should all learn a lesson from this couple.

This cannot be described in words. This love is what we should all have. And we don't. If this were on the first page of the news instead of Lindsay Lohan, maybe somebody would learn.

This is truly, truly touching. Not since "The Notebook" have I even heard of this kind of love. In fact, I didn't think this kind of love existed outside fiction.

Very sweet for this couple.Unfortunately the media is keeping out the rest of the story.It was in the first article posted by Yahoo,now it's not even in the article.He was supposed to surrender his License but refused.He went threw the stop sign slamming into another car,leaving the woman with a broken neck.The guy was released from the hospital with injuries.The woman might die or be paralyzed because he wasn't supposed to be driving.It would be nice if the Family mentioned any empathy for the other 2 people and their families whose lives he destroyed.Like I said it's very sweet for those 2 but tragic for the other families.

True love only happens once in a life time and I am so Thankful I finally found mine, My heart and Prayers goes out to this couples Family and Friends , we can all learn something from this story.

I'm sorry but I must be the only person to be annoyed by this story. This was a man who was facing a hearing to have his license taken away and ended up killing himself, his wife and possibly ruining the life of another woman and her family... I don't think that is sweet I think it is PR by the children who are trying to avoid some kind of lawsuit by the family of the woman they almost killed and her husband.

wow, we need more couples like that today!!!

This story just made my night...really warmed my heart to see that love like this still exists.
