As his opponents and supporters began massing in the streets of Cairo, President Mohamed Morsi declared that he was still sure he would serve out his term as Egypt's first democratically elected head of state. Thousands of Egyptians demanding the ouster of Egypt's Islamist president gathered at Cairo's central Tahrir Square at the start of a day of massive, nationwide protests many fear could turn deadly. An American college student, Andrew Driscoll Pochter, 21 killed Friday during bloody protests in Egypt was in the country teaching young children English and bettering his Arabic speaking skills, family members said.
