You have spent untold trillions of dollars extracting fossil hydrocarbons, fresh water, and ores from your planet to build machinery, vehicles and infrastructure for the profit and convenience of a few at the expense of many, while degrading a vital system for regulating global temperature, perhaps irreversibly.
Overall, I suggest that the survival of your kind cannot be purchased by investing in ever more advanced technologies for food production, mining, manufacturing, transportation, electricity generation, communication and computers, nor will you live longer or better by exploiting the poor, ignorant, and weak.
The integrity of your planet will not be guaranteed by the adoption of religions, ideologies, modes of government, economic systems, or Grand Plans of Great Leaders. The survival of your civilization (such as it is) will not be achieved by war – with or without nuclear weapons – nor by the enactment of laws to govern every possible contingency of life, enforced with nuclear threats, walls, militias, harsh punishments, poverty or deprivation.
In your dominant language, the pronouns for the second-person singular are archaic. I strongly advise you, as you ponder my questions, to use the first-person plurals: We, Us, Our. How do we spend our money? How do we spend our planet’s energy and resources? How do we spend our time?
Think on these things. I do not prescribe remedies. You must work out your own salvation with everyone at the table. "We, Us and Our" must include all of your kind on Earth. If you segregate yourselves into We /They, Us/ Them, Ours/Theirs, you will not learn how to live within the means of your planet.

"In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama's qualifications for the presidency, the group "Americans for Freedom of Information" has released copies of President Obama's college transcripts from Occidental College. Released today, the transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California. The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program. To qualify for the scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship."

This is the man now sitting in the oval office that we're talking about above. He is also a lawyer; that is a sworn officer of the courts system, and a member of the Bar that actually taught Constitutional Law in Illinois, before running for the office he now occupies.

This immediately brings up a number of direct conflicts of interest that in themselves create several indefensible positions for the fraud that Barack Hussein Obama, formerly Barry Soetoro, truly appears to be. How could Obama the lawyer not know that he took grant money for financial aid, from the Fulbright Foundation that was intended only for foreign citizens? How then to square this with his supposed Naturalized American-citizen status that he claimed in order to run for president? He cannot be both things in the same person; especially not at the same time.

Also Obama is a lawyer so how can he excuse himself, from lying under oath, either as a president or as a candidate; not-to-mention deceiving the public as to his actual qualifications for the office he now supposedly holds?

"This document would seem to provide the smoking gun that many of Obama's detractors have been seeking. Along with the evidence that he was first born in Kenya and there is no record of him ever applying for US citizenship, this is looking pretty grim. The news has created a firestorm at the White House as the release casts increasing doubt about
Obama's legitimacy and qualification to serve as president. When reached for comment in London, where he has been in meetings with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Obama smiled but refused comment on the issue."

Read between lines: It is not about "wealth redistribution in America", or compassion what it their Agenda, but "Redistribution of Poverty" or making the 99% of us poor. At the end the goal is population control. Most of us we will become poor and Dependence on Government...

Class warfare, income redistribution, and socialism are un-American. I am sick of the democrats and the mainstream media trying to ram this down our throat. If you are unhappy with your income get another job. We need less redistribution, less handouts, less welfare, and less government benefits, not more. I repeat for all democrats: GET A JOB!
    • Robert 6 mths ago
There aren't too many jobs that offer a million dollars a year. There aren't too many jobs, period. But thank you for your comment, Mr. Cain.
    • Stricter 6 mths ago
You hiring ? Just asking cause there are millions of people who need work. If you have some good jobs, well thats great

However as a general rule the whiners who hate paying for civilization also tend to pay poor wages.

The thing is with that attitude all you get is a poorer country. Low wages mean Poor people who make Fewer purchases and create Less growth. You cut your own throat socially and economically. Well its that or pay taxes for a massive police state , oh wait never mind we already lead the world in incarceration.

On top of that if you decided that things like unemployment and retirement, you'll get what the other nations that save too much have, an economy that is dependent on exports. Guess what? The world cannot have any more exporters as there are not enough people with money to buy.

As for redistribution being Unamerican, bull. That rather under appreciated Founding Father Tom Paine would cordially disagree with you

. Agrarian Justice is about as redistributive a document as can be found and it predates Marx by 3/4 a century.

  • William Smith  •  6 mths ago
What an unmitigated crock! If these whiners would get out and educate themselves and work for a living they would be just fine. Instead they have to blame the achievers for their slack-a*s lack of work ethic.

The socialist, unconstitutional welfare safety net for these grasshopper-people has made them truly worthless dregs. I say we cut off their welfare unless they start doing something useful for society besides breeding more grasshopper-people. Put them to work picking up trash or mowing right of ways, or painting public buildings or public signage, or else cut them off and let them starve like the grasshoppers they are.
    • A Yahoo! user 6 mths ago
don't be so ignorant. You speak as if you came from a wealthy family that paved your way. Some "whiners" worked their #$%$ off to get an education, while starving and cold, yet can not find a job in this greedy, pathetic society! And now this "whiner" is too qualified to be hired at a minimum wage job. THATS the way it is...try it
    • A Yahoo! user 6 mths ago
The people with all the money and power have no heart, compassion, or empathy...the well off are so blind. All they can do is criticize the middle and lower class, and its so funny to read because they honestly have no idea what real life is like. They hide behind their wealthy family name or their degrees. It shows true character. It shows how money can corrupt...and boy oh boy we are facing MUCH corruption. God bless the 99%!!!:)

I know many young people who have recently graduated from college and can't find a decent job anywhere. They have to move back in with their parent and work to just pay student loans. Going to college and getting a decent job right afterwards is much different now than it was for you.

Things aren't so great for rich people, they have a lot of problems too. Watch "Gossip Girl" on Monday nights to see how rough it is to be rich.
  • Sum Texan  •  6 mths ago
All I can say is that the people of America need to wake up and face the facts and reality and register to vote. They need to vote all of the Republican Congressmen out of both chambers of Congress and vote for President Obama for a second term in office. If not than this problem will only get worser if a Republican wins as president.
The Republicans are voting for a tax increase against the poor and they want to cut the social benifits for people who rely on a fixed income to live on. Yet at the same time they don't want to raise taxes against the super rich.
They have blocked every effort President Obama has presented to put Americans back to work and to reenergize our economy.
There's close to 50 million American citizens living in povety today, 9% unemployed, millions who used up all of their unemployment benifits, people losing their homes you name it.
    • josh 6 mths ago
We don't need more WELFARE we need Americans that want to work and don't think that because they where born they should get everything for nothing. Democrats have destroyed this country through welfare
    • Christine 6 mths ago
Thank you, Sum Texan, for your thoughts. While I am not a huge Obama or Dem fan, the Repubs are far, far worse and have been in the last 50 years or so. We need a straight Dem ticket... people better wake up and get up off their fannies... or its going to get much, much worse.
  • Michael  •  6 mths ago
Go Obama. The president never fired anyone, except for McCrystal. It was the 'JOB CREATORS' who fired EVERYONE, millions & millions of people. And all the while, the GOP obstructed the relief effort.

obama has made Wall street more money in two years than Bush did in 8 years . He couldn't give a crap about the poor he just wants to be reelected one more time.
    • Pat 6 mths ago
Personally I can't see why anyone would want to be president.
He gets blamed for everything whether he is guilty or not.
  • Cal  •  6 mths ago
Why is it that when the purchasing power of the poor and middle class continue to plummet and the rich continue to obtain an increasingly larger slice of the financial pie, largely thanks to regulation and tax codes in their favor, people will then blame the poor or middle class for "not being smart enough". Seems that the rules have changed. No longer must you work hard, play by the rules, and save money to achieve the American Dream. No - you must be screwed, live like dog eats dog, and take no holds barred when it comes to you or the other guy. Society has really lost touch with the value of what the working middle class means and it's importance of our country's survival.
