France’s Ministry of Defence released a video on Tuesday, November 24, showing a military chief telling personnel aboard the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier that “We have confidence in you to protect the French people.” Charles de Gaulle carried warplanes to the eastern Mediterranean with a mission to weaken the military capabilities of the Islamic State and recover Iraqi and Syrian territories controlled by the militant groups.
