India defeats Pakistan to lift blind cricket T20 World Cup

India today lifted the inaugural blind cricket Twenty20 world cup by defeating archrival Pakistan in the final by 29 runs in Bangalore. Batting first, India posted 258 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the 20 overs and restricted Pakistan to 229 runs. Batsman Ketan Bhai Patel scored a swashbuckling 98 runs, while Prakash Jayaramaiah contributed 42 in the imposing total. Blind cricket team captain Shekar Naik urged the media to approach the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the team affiliation. Meanwhile, Pakistan blind cricket team captain Eeshan Abbasi blamed extra runs conceded by bowlers for defeat.
