U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry continues his world diplomatic tour, this time in Asia. Kerry landed in the small sultanate of Brunei for a regional security conference. After having spoken to many leaders of the middle east, the Secretary of State is now scheduled to have a lengthy chat with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that likely will center on the Syrian crisis. He will also discuss the Edward Snowden crisis with Chinese officials. Secretary of State John Kerry continued to try to revive Middle East talks, meeting with the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas the morning after a late-night session with Israeli officials. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry wrapped up four days of shuttle diplomacy on a positive note, saying he had considerably narrowed the gaps between Israel and the Palestinians and that the resumption of negotiations could be "within reach."
