Lalit Bhanot elected as IOA Secretary General

Tainted sports administrator Lalit Bhanot, who spent eleven months in prison last year in connection with the Commonwealth Games scandal today bagged the post of General Secretary in Indian Olympic Association (IOA). Talking to the mediapersons in New Delhi today Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader and Indian amateur Boxing Federation Chairman, Abhay singh Chautala said that he had a clean sweep victory as the candidate contesting against him withdrew. Chautala has also been elected unopposed as the president of the IOA after all the candidates contesting the key IOA posts withdrew from the elections. Chautala also added that the he along with his fellow eight members met Sports Minister Jitendra Singh in order to find a solution to the code dispute.
