Rosetta spacecraft is due to land a robotic probe on a comet after almost 10 years travelling through space. The Philae lander is scheduled to land on comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko on November 12. This animation, published by the European Space Agency on November 11, shows a simulation of the Philae probe’s departure from Rosetta, descent towards the comet, and landing on the surface before beginning tests.
