Three gunmen attacked a Shia Muslim imambargah in Peshawar on February 13, leaving at least
19 people dead and dozens wounded. According to
reports quoting police officials, the militants attacked during Friday prayers in the city. One gunman
reportedly blew himself up, another was killed during a subsequent gunfight with police, and one was arrested.The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), an Islamist militant group based in Pakistan, reportedly
claimed responsibility for the attack.
