Chicago-Sun Times. Obama responded to the hecklers for about five minutes before returning to his speech. “It’s good to be back in Chicago because everyone has got something to say,” joked Obama. “You’re absolutely right that there have been significant numbers of deportations. That’s true. But what you’re not paying attention to is the fact that I just took action to change law,” said Obama. “Though I understand why you might have yelled at me a month ago…it doesn’t make much sense to yell at me right now when we’re making changes,” he said to applause from the crowd. Obama also spoke about nation-wide protests that followed Monday’s grand jury decision to not indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson for the fatal shooting of Michael Brown in August. “There are productive ways of responding…and there are destructive ways of responding. Burning buildings, torching cars, destroying property, putting people at risk – that’s destructive. There’s no excuse for it. Those are criminal acts. People should be prosecuted if they engage in criminal acts," said Obama. He added that people also gathered in “overwhelmingly peaceful” protests. Credit: YouTube/The White House">
