PHOENIX -- One person was injured in an early morning fire at Phoenix Motel 6. It happened shortly after 6:30 a.m. in the area of Interstate 17 and Northern Avenue. GILBERT, Ariz. -- The Higley Unified School District athletic director was found dead Wednesday morning from what Gilbert police believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
