Police Officer Accused Of Hitting Wife In Face With 4 Children At Home

A police officer arrested for domestic violence is expected to make his first court appearance Thursday morning. Jonathan Burger faces charges of domestic battery and battery resulting in bodily harm. Burger has been an Indianapolis officer for seven years. Court documents state Burger admitted to officers that he hit his wife, but said he did not mean to hurt her. Investigators say there were four children in the home when the incident happened.
