Our leaders lack the ability to lead. They spend their time trying to get re-elected and avoid the tough decisions and compromises that are in the best long term interest of the country. Basically, they are living for today and pushing off the real work on the leaders of tomorrow. Unfortunately, it will only change when there is a financial disaster. Look to Europe for clues of what what our future holds.
