A pool in Modesto, Calif., that has served as a popular safe space for children to swim in is facing a closure as a result of money troubles. The Empire Community Pool was built to remember Daniel, Jose and Eloy Yepez, three brothers who drowned in a nearby river because there was nowhere else to swim. But now the facility is struggling to find donations to pay for it, and is on the verge of closing.
