Some Free Advice For Roger Goodell
The beleaguered commissioner of the NFL is doing everything he can to plug the leaks in the mighty ship that is the league. Or at least, he doing everything that his focus group and PR handlers are telling him to do to get the media off of his back. He held a press conference. Ok, he didn’t actually say anything of substance, or offer up any kind of concrete plan, but he stood out there for 15 minutes, that has to count for something, right? He hired some women. Ok, he hired 3 women and gave another who already worked for the league a new title. Is it just me, or is this like a company being accused of being racist going out and hiring a minority just to prove they aren’t? Seems a bit hollow and desperate.

But he’s also spent roughly 800 hours on almost 200 golf trips since his first inauguration. In contrast, President George W. Bush largely gave up golfing during the Iraq campaign, from 2003 to 2008.

Secret Service Head Takes Heat For WH Breach

"It's unacceptable," Pierson told lawmakers. Potential Successors To UK's Cameron Position Themselves Before Close Election
Eight months before a tight election, the three main contenders to succeed British Prime Minister David Cameron as leader of the Conservatives wooed potential supporters at the party's annual conference with starkly different pitches. Cameron, 47, has repeatedly said he wants to lead his right-leaning party to victory in May 2015 and to secure a majority, so it can rule alone and not in a coalition as is now the case. But the Conservatives trail the opposition Labour party in most opinion polls and the surging anti-EU UK Independence Party has poached two of his lawmakers in the last month. Theresa May, the country's 57-year-old interior minister, Boris Johnson, the 50-year-old mayor of London, and 43-year-old finance minister George Osborne have emerged as the main candidates to succeed Cameron if he loses.
