A Real-Life Doogie Howser: 11-Year-Old Starts College
Here's one college freshman you won't find at a back-to-school keg party: Carson Huey-You, age 11. The child prodigy is the youngest person to attend Texas Christian University after graduating high school with a 4.0 GPA and scoring a 1700 on the SAT. While Carson's credentials don't quite match those of Doogie Howser, MD - who earned a perfect score on the SAT at age 6, finished high school in nine weeks at the age of 9, graduated from Princeton at 10, and became the youngest doctor at 14 - Carson has the edge of being an actual kid instead of an imaginary one. For his first semester, he's signed up for calculus, physics, history, and religion. Watch the little genius, who does algebra to relax and already speaks Mandarin, talk about college live in this interview with his local NBC station.
