October 21. Fierce clashes were reported between rebel batallions and regime forces in the region by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based monitoring group. The attack destroyed two MiG-23 fighter aircrafts, according to the Syrian rebel unit Harakat Hazm (Steadfastness Movement), which shared this video on their YouTube channel and posted tweets about the assault. Harakat Hazm formed in January 2014 and merged 22 separate rebel units, according to the Washington Institute. It is organized into two regional sections — northern and southern. In the northern section, they operate in Aleppo, Idlib, and Hama provinces. Harakat Hazm’s insignia is a stylized sword, which bears the movement’s name. That logo is visible in this video.
