Russia Breaking News: Kerry: Deeply Troubling If Snowden Allowed to Flee

Wochit 0:55 mins

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said Monday that it would be "deeply troubling" if Russia or Hong Kong had adequate notice about Edward Snowden's plans to flee to a country that will grant him asylum and still allowed him leave. Edward Snowden, the former NSA contractor wanted by the United States for revealing highly classified surveillance programs was believed to have landed in Russia ? possibly as a stopover before traveling elsewhere ? after being allowed to leave Hong Kong. Despite warnings from international economics experts, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced an ambitious and risky stimulus program that would spend up to $43.5 billion in pension reserve funds on three big infrastructure projects.
