Costly state-by-state battles are set to resume that could, in the hopes of both sides, spread marriage equality to more states, or reveal a brick wall of traditional values that cannot be breached. As the news broke that the Supreme Court has struck down the Defense of Marriage Act and ruled that same-sex marriages should be allowed in California, celebs voiced reaction on Twitter. Among the rejoicing was a proposal from Kristen Bell, who had been vocal about not marrying until everyone in the state of California can marry. Bell tweeted a marriage proposal at long-time boyfriend Dax Shepard.
