SC rejects Jagan Reddy's bail plea in disproportionate assets case
The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected YSR Congress President Jagan Mohan Reddy's bail plea in a disproportionate assets case. Reddy is likely to stay behind bars for at least four more months. The YSR Congress chief has already spent almost a year in Hyderabad's Chanchalguda jail after he was arrested by the CBI in connection with the disproportionate assets case last year. While rejecting his petition today, the court said that granting him bail could hamper the investigation and directed the CBI to complete the probe within four months. It also said that Jagan could apply for bail before a trial court after the probe is completed.
