Soyuz spacecraft undocks from International Space Station

The Soyuz spacecraft carrying the three crew members of Expedition 32 has undocked from the International Space Station, making its final preparations before heading back to earth. Gennady Padalka, Joe Acaba and Sergei Revin are expected to land at a designated location north of Arkalyk, Kazakhstan at 02:53 GMT. Expedition 32 Commander Gennady Padalka ceremonially handed over control of the International Space Station to Expedition 33 Commander Sunita Williams on September 15. Williams will stay behind with Flight Engineers Aki Hoshide and Yuri Malenchenko to live and work aboard the orbital laboratory until November 12. This is Williams' second mission in space. She holds the record for the longest spaceflight by a woman.
