Ukrainian Government Seeks Accession to NATO, EU

The Ukrainian government submitted a bill to the country’s parliament aimed at paving the way to allow the state join NATO on August 29. The bill also emphasises aspirations for the country to join the European Union. Ukrainian prime minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said, “This law will prohibit the Ukrainian state to become part of any other economic, political or military alliances that would hinder the main goal of accession to the EU.” Credit: YouTube/Арсеній Яценюк
