LMAO This is such a joke. First off most of the nation has had to resort to frugal February. Heck my family has had frugal 2011 and now frugal 2012. Money goes to bills and gas and cheap groceries. The second ridiculous point is that they still spent the money. January 31 they stocked up. Hey guys! You didn't really cut any money then did you!?!?

Stocking up great quantities in January is saving only if the prices of the articles have increased since then. While it is a good idea to reduce spending, their going public with it is just an attention getter.

This is a ridiculous story. Of course they're spending money....they're just purchasing everything in advance and enough of it to last a month. They're also sitting in a house, which I assume has rent or a mortgage due and I noticed the lights were on and they were cooking the food that they didn't buy in February. Who the hell concocts this crap?

They won’t have to freeze because they can simply pay their energy bill the following month. I understand the concept and I think it’s a good idea to try out- like she said...like hitting the reset button to try to curb their spending. But it’s not like they didn’t spend ZERO dollars, they stocked up on food before their no-dollar-month.
