    Isn't murder a homicide defined by intent, killing with the INTENT to kill? I guess the fact this incident involves Alabama explains why. Normally I would say good luck proving intent, but since it's Alabama... intent doesn't matter there. But really murder is an abstract accusation so how could they prove the intent outside of confession? They can't prove it. Of course that assumes they care to prove it.

    Doesn't matter what you charge them with. Not charging them with murder doesn't change the fact that they are doomed. Once they are in prison it's a matter of time until someone kills them.
