shut down the Evergreen Point floating bridge in Seattle due to high winds on Sunday, March 13. For one father and daughter, though, it was an experience crossing the bridge before it was shut down. Melissa Miller posted these videos showing her father’s reaction when the waves splashed over the road and onto their vehicle. The bridge is the longest floating bridge in the world, and the Washington Department of Transportation reported it’s the first time the bridge has been closed since October 25, 2014. Authorities are in the process of replacing the bridge because, in part, of the need to close it during high wind conditions. Wind gusts of up to 65 miles per hour were reported due to the storm. One person died when a tree fell on his vehicle. The wind also blew over a truck on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Credit: Instagram/Melissa Miller">
