WFP documents population fleeing conflict in Central African Republic

The World Food Programme (WFP) documents life for the more than 40,000 displaced people in the Central African Republic who have fled their homes since conflict erupted in December 2012. According to the WFP, "Many farmers fled their farms, leaving crops untended. The majority of households said that their livestock had been stolen. Some families sold livestock and seeds to survive, while others sold herds for fear of displacement or looting.” Credit: World Food Programme
