A wheelchair-bound teen’s dream to be on the baseball field came true on Friday, April 29, in Mesquite, Texas. Poteet High School’s head coach, Jeff Johnson, asked senior Christian Alfaro to pinch run in the first inning of the senior game against the Terrell Tigers. Johnson said he wanted to give Alfaro, who has been his high school’s team manager for three years, “the moment that he’s wanted and he’s deserved.”
