Get Sofia Vergara's Best Beauty Advice
Questions I get on the regular? "What's Sofia Vergara's skin routine? How does she look that good?" And my answer remains simple: genetics! Plus a healthy lifestyle. But she attributes looking good to having healthy, flake-free hair. Sofia has included her family in her latest gig with Head & Shoulders since the beginning, stating she and her familia have been fans of the brand for 20-plus years. I had the chance to go behind the scenes at her latest shoot, where we talked all about beauty, but I also got some details on her time shooting with Reese Witherspoon. Turns out, Sofia could moonlight as a makeup artist - she did Reese's makeup one day before shooting and gave her recommendations for a product she thought Reese was using incorrectly. Check out our interview, and then enter for the chance to appear in Sofia's next Head & Shoulders commercial with her family on Aug. 18. All you have to do is take a photo of your gorgeous hair, show some attitude, and tag @HeadShoulders and #PartofOurFamily on Twitter. On Kirbie: Rebecca Minkoff dress, Shoedazzle shoes

No Cleanse Needed! This Detoxifying Scrub Makes Your Skin Look Airbrushed
Detoxing is big these days. But I'd rather go two months without a pedicure than do a juice cleanse. (Who's with me?) This DIY I created is inspired by NYC's Paul Labrecque Spa's signature jalapeño and coffee scrub. As Lauren mentioned before, green coffee beans help firm and tone, jalapeño is the earth's natural detoxer, and mint adds that spa feel we all want to enjoy at home. Green coffee beans are ideal, but recycle your used Keurig pods or coffee grounds for an easy substitute. This is meant to work like a body wrap, so apply the scrub, let it soak in by wrapping yourself up like a burrito, and then rinse. Avoid any creams or lotions until the next day so you can get the most out of the scrub!
Marge & Me: See the Fun, Vibrant (and Wearable!) Simpsons Collection
The first lady of television - Marge Simpson - is coming to a MAC store near you! Marge is definitely in charge, as MAC has teamed up with The Simpsons for a one-of-a-kind beauty collaboration, celebrating the brand's 25th anniversary. I met with MAC senior artist Caroline Donnelly to learn what makes this line wearable - unfortunately, Marge doesn't strike me as having the most office-friendly look - and it turns out that not only does this collection pop and offer a vivid color palettes, but it also has products that the makeup pros use. Case in point? That greenish-yellow lip gloss? It's best used as a base to help neutralize your brighter lipstick shades. It also serves as a great nude color option. The power of the color wheel, eh? And if you're already gearing up for Halloween (like I am), you'll enjoy Caroline's tutorial on how to get the Marge look at home. Relatively speaking, it's quite a simple DIY! Grab your water-based paint and black construction paper - this is a look you'll certainly be able to re-create at home. You'll blow your friends away with on All Hallows' Eve! The Simpsons collection will be online on Aug. 28 and in stores Sept. 4. Caroline Donnelly applies water-based paint to her model. For the eyes, Donnelly used MAC Chromacake in Pure White ($25), MAC Paint Stick in Pure White ($21), MAC Fix+ ($20) and MAC Studio Fix in Shivering White ($27)." For the skin, MAC Chromacake in Primary Yellow ($25) was applied. Start with the eyes, and then move to the rest of the face. Apply a bright red lipstick. And we all know MAC has plenty of bright reds to choose from! Donnelly went with MAC Lip Pencil in Cherry ($15) and MAC Lipstick in Russian Red ($16). Then, apply eyeliner at the base of the lashes. Donnelly used MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack ($16). Cut long, thin pieces of black construction paper for exaggerated eyelashes. Adhere the paper lashes with your faux lash glue. Be sure to apply mascara first, and then let it dry before applying your paper lashes. Almost ready . . . There we go! The wig can be made out of chicken wire and curly blue wigs. Last looks! To amp up the whiteness around the eyes, Donnelly used MAC Eye Kohl in Fascinating ($16) on the waterline. Caroline, Marge, and moi! For removal, Donnelly recommends using baby oil and wipes. "Stand on a towel and get a friend to help you - you'll need someone to help get it off your back!"

Insanely Eye-Catching Nail Art You Can Pull Off in Just 3 Steps
Tom Bachik is adored by everyone on our team. He not only creates gorgeous manicures for Jennifer Lopez, Zooey Deschanel, and Heidi Klum - maybe you've heard of them? - but he's also the kindest, coolest guy to work with. Tom started off as a graphic designer just wanting to make some extra cash. Now he's creating manicures for magazine spreads, red carpets, and even big celebrity weddings. While in studio, Tom showed us how to create two supersimple (and head-turning, for that matter) manicures that anyone can do at home: one with feathered flair and one is a pretty print. Both are big for the Summer, given texture, bright colors, and patterns are huge for the season. Manicure 1: Feathered Flair Step 1: Paint your nails white Step 2: Cut a feather, and place it on top of the white polish. If your polish is dry, try applying a clear topcoat first, then apply the feather. Tip: Align the spine of the feather with your cuticle for an asymmetrical look. Step 3: Cut off the excess feather and file around the nail. Finish with a topcoat. Manicure 2: Pretty Patterns Step 1: Paint your nails with a pink base polish Step 2: Apply Scotch tape to mask part of the nail, and paint the nail with purple polish; remove the tape immediately. Step 3: Let the purple polish dry, then continue this process with a bright pink polish. Finish with a topcoat.
