Viola Davis Cast as Amanda Waller for Suicide Squad
According to Latino Review's sources, Viola Davis (The Help, How to Get Away with Murder) has been cast as Amanda Waller in the 2016 Suicide Squad film. According to reports, Davis was up against Oprah Winfrey and Octavia Spencer for the part of Waller. The character is the woman who runs Suicide Squad, a government agency who puts imprisoned villains on incredibly dangerous missions for a chance to redeem themselves.
Davis will be joining Jared Leto as the Joker, Tom Hardy as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Will Smith as Deadshot, Morgot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and Cara Delevinge as Enchantress.
