Just days before Nov. 6, Yahoo! asked voters to reveal which candidate they're backing -- Barack Obama or Mitt Romney or another candidate -- and, briefly, why. Here are one voter's thoughts.
As a devoted follower of politics, I have enjoyed the ubiquitous presidential campaign of 2012. Unlike many, I do not long for a conclusion to the endless commercials, flyers, and news stories. In fact, following their efforts to seek the White House, I attended rallies for Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Joe Biden, Newt Gingrich, and Rick Santorum.
However, I realize the election represents more than a competition for votes. The outcome of this campaign will determine the economic and social direction the United States will pursue. With that in mind, I'm voting for Mitt Romney on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Based on his background and beliefs, the Republican candidate is the best choice to guide a struggling American economy and bring fiscal responsibility back to government.
