The course, which combines screencasts, in-browser code challenges and gamification principles, is part of Code School, an online learning platform that teaches programming and web design skills.
Envy Labs, a small web development consultancy in Orlando, Fla., is behind the new course. The company is turning to crowd-funding site, Kickstarter, to offset hardware and software costs.

Students won't have to install anything, as they'll build the apps using an in-browser iPhone simulator, according to Try iOS's Kickstarter page.
The team says it hopes to raise $50,000. So far, they have more than 950 backers who pledged $34,000.
