WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Washington, D.C., snow emergency will be lifted on Wednesday, the mayor said on Tuesday, five days after a blizzard pummeled the region with two feet of snow and shut down schools and the federal government.
Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser said at a news conference that the snow emergency will be lifted at 6:30 p.m./2300 GMT on Wednesday.
