Watch the First Minute of ‘The X-Files’ Revival

Although “The X-Files” revival premiered at MIPCOM in Cannes and later showed at New York Comic-Con in October, the rest of the fans can also catch a glimpse of the show before its debut. Fox released the first minute of “The X-Files” Monday on doyoustillbelieve.com.

The clip, narrated by Fox Mulder (David Duchovny), shows a montage of old photos as Mulder details his past, explaining his obsession with aliens and search for his abducted sister. While the short clip only features photos, Mulder does mention his former partner Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson).

It’s not long before viewers will actually get to see Mulder and Scully on screen again. The first episode follows the pair as they take on a case of a possible alien abductee.

The six-episode series will feature both stand-alone episodes and ones that delve further into the original show’s seminal mythology. Thirteen years after the original series’ run, “The X-Files” revival debuts in two parts beginning Sunday, Jan. 24 after the NFC Championship Game and launches its time period premiere on Monday, Jan. 25 at 8 pm.

The all-new episodes will feature appearances by guest stars including Joel McHale (“Community”), Robbie Amell (“The Flash”), Lauren Ambrose (“Dig,” “Six Feet Under”), Annabeth Gish (“The Bridge”), Annet Mahendru (“The Americans”), Rhys Darby (“Flight of the Conchords”) and Kumail Nanjiani (“Silicon Valley”).
