Watch the first trailer for ‘The Walking Dead’ mid-season finale

It’s almost over, Walking Dead fans! Only one episode is left in the first half of season 7, and I for one I’m looking forward to two months without AMC’s best zombie show yet. The Walking Dead returns on February 12th, and hopefully, AMC will make the show great again.

Aside from episode 1 and a few other moments during the seven episodes we’ve seen so far, The Walking Dead was pretty disappointing. The current grind is so annoying that next week’s episode 8 doesn’t even feel like a mid-season finale in this official trailer. And that’s even though we’re bound to see some action — I won’t spoil it for you just yet, so don’t watch the trailer if you haven’t seen episode 7 yet.

Titled Hearts Still beating, the next episode is supposed to solve some of the plots and subplots we’ve seen so far. The conflict with Negan is still the dominant element of the episode, as Negan is in Alexandria now, waiting for Rick to get back from his mission.

Rick’s teary-eyed look indicates that something bad is about to happen. And Negan getting a hold of Judith might be what’s making Rick cry. Or is it Carl and his recklessness?

Daryl seems to escape, Michonne may reach her destination, and Morgan will have a serious talk about the Saviors with the folks over at The Kingdom. Well, at least we can only hope so. That particular scene was featured in the last two trailers as well. Rosita seems determined to use that bullet, but nothing can happen to Negan, can there?
