WATCH: Seth Meyers grills Kellyanne Conway over Trump Russia allegations on ‘Late Night’

Incoming White House adviser Kellyanne Conway guested on the Late Show with Seth Meyers Tuesday night, telling host Meyers that “nothing has been confirmed” regarding unverified allegations that Russian operatives have collected compromising information about President-elect Donald Trump.

Incoming White House adviser (and Atco native) Kellyanne Conway guested Tuesday on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where host Meyers grilled her on  recent reports about President-elect Donald Trump's ties to Russia.

Conway told Meyers that “nothing has been confirmed” regarding allegations that Russian operatives have collected compromising information about Trump.

Conway’s appearance occurred shortly after CNN and Buzzfeed reported that intelligence agencies briefed both Trump and President Obama about allegations that Russia had obtained damaging personal and financial information regarding the president-elect. Conway denied that Trump had been briefed on the allegations by intelligence officials Tuesday night.

“We should be concerned that intelligence officials leaked to the press and won’t go and tell the president-elect or the president of the United States himself now, President Obama, what the information is,” Conway said.

“But the press report was about them going to the president,” Meyers said, pressing Conway. “I believe it said they did brief him on it.”

Several other articles corroborate that Trump and Obama were briefed on the findings.

“Well, he has said he is not aware of that,” Conway told Meyers. “It’s not fair that people don’t give him his due. He received that intelligence briefing; he made comments about it afterward. I have to tell you, there wasn’t very compelling information in terms of the nexus people would like to make between alleged hacking and the election results. Vladimir Putin didn’t tell Hillary Clinton to ignore Michigan and Wisconsin. She did that all by herself.”

The segment, which runs just over 13 minutes, continues in that vein, with Meyers attempting to discuss Russia’s potential interference in the presidential election, as well as Trump’s minimal interest in the topic. Conway, however, responded by changing the subject.

“He was curious enough to figure out America,” she told Meyers.

“That’s a pivot right there, Kellyanne,” Meyers replied. “By the way, nobody does it better.”

Trump has since responded to the allegations, tweeting that they are “a total political witch hunt”:
