What to Watch Tonight: The Americans' Season 3 Premiere, Suits' Season 4B Premiere, and Arrow

What to watch on Wednesday, January 28...

MARATHON, 4pm, VH1 Classic
SNL Rewind: 2015–1975
So, what are you doing for the next 433 hours? Nothing? Well, can I interest you in 19 straight days of SNL? The marathon kicks off with with selections from Season 39 and works backward to the George Carlin-hosted series premiere, scheduled for Sunday, February 15, at 6:30pm. Along the way it will include several blocks of episodes sharing a common theme, as well as periodic reminders to walk around, eat something, and speak to your loved ones so they don't get worried.

8pm, PBS
Nature
"Penguin Post Office" spotlights the British post office at Port Lockroy on the Antarctic Peninsula, where every year a colony of 3,000 gentoo penguins gather to fraternize, start families, and presumably catch up on their correspondences with friends in various Commonwealth nations.

8pm, CBS
The Mentalist
Abbott's career and freedom are on the line in "Copper Bullet," thanks to his no-good former boss. Can Jane save the day with one of his patented kooky schemes?

8pm, ABC Family
Melissa & Joey
Now that they're hitched, Joe is eager for Mel to start poppin' out rugrats in "Let's Get It Started." But when Mel proves hesitant, Joe hopes a visit from Nate, Gillian, and their newborn baby will change her mind.

8pm, The CW
Arrow
Diggle and Roy are none too pleased that Laurel has taken on the mantel of the Black Canary, but will she heed their warnings to cease vigilante-ing? (I mean, what kind of lame superhero show would this be if she did?) Elsewhere in "Midnight City," Ray springs into action when Brick kidnaps the city's aldermen, and Malcolm urges Thea to split town with him before Ra's al Ghul comes calling.

9pm, The CW
The 100
Danger emerges from a new foe in "Survival of the Fittest," because it had been like 20 minutes since danger emerged from something, and that just can't be allowed to stand around here. In other risky escapades, Lincoln and Bellamy plan to bust into Mount Weather.

9pm, Fox
Empire
Lucious makes a play to lure a chart-conquering artist away from a rival label in "False Imposition." In less Machiavellian ambitions, Cookie tries to patch things up with Hakeem while Jamal battles writer's block.

9pm, Bravo
Top Chef
The three finalists travel to San Miguel de Allende in "Getting Prickly in Mexico," where they'll learn which of their former competitors wins Last Chance Kitchen and reenters the main fray. The culinary challenge is to cook a dish inspired by the work of a local artist.

SEASON 3 PREMIERE, 10pm, FX
The Americans
Elizabeth makes a crucial error in "EST Men," which could jeopardize the Soviet Union's chances of winning this whole Cold War thing. And speaking of cold wars (segue!), Stan works to inject some life back into his frosty marriage.

SEASON 4B PREMIERE, 10pm, USA
Suits
Now in on Mike's secret, Louis brings the hammer down on Mike and everyone else in his path in "Enough Is Enough." While Jessica tries to appease him, Harvey receives a request from Robert Zane.

10pm, FXX
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Psycho Pete returns in "Psycho Pete Returns," prompting Dee and Dennis to try to send him right back to the mental institution.

10pm, BET
The Game
As Tasha bonds with her baby, Malik tries to rejoin the Sabers by leveraging Jason's coaching position in "Nothing Was the Game." Wait, nothing? Will this episode reveal that the entire series thus far has been an illusion or took place inside the Matrix or something? That's a pretty big bombshell to drop in the middle of Season 8, The Game... IF THAT'S EVEN YOUR REAL NAME.

10pm, VH1
Hindsight
Lolly joins Jamie at a Halloween party in "A Very Important Date," even though that means breaking a tradition she's long shared with Becca. What quintessentially 1995 Halloween costumes can we expect to see extras wearing in this episode? I'll guess two Unabombers, three Bravehearts, and one Zombie Jerry Garcia.

10pm, Comedy Central
Workaholics
In "Speedo Racer," Ders seeks to settle a score with an old rival from his high school swim team days. Turns out, it's not as easy as you'd think to trick someone into entering a pool less than an hour after eating.

10pm, TV Land
Hot in Cleveland
Joy takes a new view of Bob after he helps her grandson handle the school bully in "About a Joy." Elsewhere, Elka spurs Melanie to reconnect with an old acquaintance, and Victoria tries to keep pace with her younger beau.

10:30pm, Comedy Central
Broad City
When Abbi undergoes oral surgery in "Wisdom Teeth," it falls to Ilana to be her attentive and responsible caretaker. By which of course I mean, "dope her up with whatever's handy and let fate flow where it will."

10:30pm, FXX
Man Seeking Woman
Josh and Mike enjoy a night out in "Pitbull." Apparently this is something the youths are into these days? Going "out"? To "bars"? To meet "people"? Feh, who can keep up with all these crazy modern trends. [falls asleep on keyboard]
