What to Watch Tonight: Arrow Gets Vertigo, SVU Tackles Gamergate, and ABC's Comedies Celebrate Valentine's Day

What to watch on Wednesday, February 11...

8pm, The CW
Arrow
Ollie's in a tizzy over Laurel's new crime-fighting habit in "Canaries." His fears are only compounded when she confronts the newly returned Vertigo, whose latest hallucinogen pits her against a dark vision of Sara.

8pm, CBS
The Mentalist
In "Byzantium," a man claiming to be a psychic offers to help solve a pair of murders, which sounds like a strangely familiar premise to me for some reason. Soon enough, the team suspects that their new ally may actually be their culprit.

8pm, ABC Family
Melissa & Joey
Mel and Joe are in a pickle when her aunt and uncle (Valerie Harper and Peter Bonerz) pay a surprise visit in "Thanks, But No Thanks." The problem? Mel had Joe return the enormous cappuccino machine said aunt and uncle gave them as a wedding present.

8pm, ABC
The Middle
"Valentine's Day VI" leaves Brick in a tizzy after learning that his girlfriend Cindy expects him to pucker up. Elsewhere, Darrin ropes Frankie and Mike into helping him organize a scavenger hunt for Sue, while Axl is flummoxed by Devin's request not to swap V-Day gifts.

8:30pm, ABC
The Goldbergs
After learning that Lainey's father (David Koechner) isn't an Eagles fan in "Cowboy Country," Barry must decide whether love is stronger than football. In other matters of the heart, Adam's affectionate gift to Dana flusters Beverly.

SEASON 12 FINALE, 9pm, Bravo
Top Chef
"Mano a Mano" pits the two finalists against one another in a battle of four-course menus. (Which is to say, they'll be preparing competing feasts, and not, like, using some sort of dark magiks to turn their dishes into semi-sentient soldiers... although it would be fun to see a ceviche and a poblano curry duke it out.)

9pm, Fox
Empire
A mysterious woman (Raven-Symoné) who has a history with the family comes calling, probably to stir up trouble—although you never know, she may just need to list them as references on her application for a promising account manager position. Meanwhile in "Out, Damned Spot," Jamal's rejuvenated ambitions put a crimp in his social life, Vernon lands in a sticky wicket, and Lucious asks Cookie to manage the label's very first recording star (Courtney Love), whose career has hit a bit of a dry spell.

9pm, The CW
The 100
Clarke finally goes too far in "Rubicon," sparking a long-building confrontation with Abby (not to mention bumming out TV.com's own Noel Kirkpatrick with another reminder of AMC's one-season wonder Rubicon). Elsewhere, Jaha and Murphy meet a shadowy stranger, Raven helps Bellamy traverse Mount Weather, and Octavia gears up for a fight.

9pm, VH1
Hindsight
Everyone hopes for the best and fears the worst following Andy's car accident in "Tragic Kingdom." But that doesn't stop Paige and Sean from forging a tighter bond, nor Jamie from attempting to win over Lolly with unintended results.

9pm, NBC
Law & Order: SVU
In "Intimidation Game," a woman's new video game launch is greeted with harassment, invective, and death threats from the internet's many repellent wankers, and the stakes are raised further when one of her female employees is assaulted at a convention. Any resemblance to actual people, events, and/or repellent wankers is surely coincidental.

9pm, ABC
Modern Family
Phil and Claire's amorous alter egos "Clive" and "Juliana" return for "Valentine's Day 4: Twisted Sister," but Phil's apparent affection for "Juliana" leaves Claire jealous of herself. In other thwarted romantic plans, Gloria's visiting sister (Stephanie Beatriz) disrupts her evening with Jay.

9:30pm, ABC
Black-ish
In "Big Night, Big Fight," Dre is determined to break his and Rainbow's pattern of having a spat every Valentine's Day. Meanwhile, the kids help Diane learn how to be less critical of others and even how to pay a compliment.

SEASON 7 FINALE, 9:30pm, A&E
Duck Dynasty
Jep and Jessica return to the neighborhood in "Sweet Home Louisiana," prompting the family to throw a block party. But will the bash be crashed by their old nemesis, three ducks in a trenchcoat and a fedora trying to sneak some bread?

SERIES PREMIERE, 10pm & 10:30pm, Pop
Schitt's Creek
Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, and Chris Elliott star in the first original scripted series from Pop, which the internet assures me is an actual channel that exists and everything. "The Cup Runneth Over" kicks off the comedy with the wealthy Rose family suddenly in the poorhouse, and forced to move to a backwater town they once purchased on a whim. Then in "The Drip," Johnny's attempts to sell the town are complicated, while the Rose kids attend a tailgate party.

10pm, USA
Suits
Harvey and Louis venture out of town to visit a client in "Fork in the Road," giving Harvey the chance to bring Louis and Mike's simmering trust issues to the surface. Flashbacks also cast light on the pair's early days at the firm and the source of their rivalry.

10pm, BET
The Game
"Acting Class and Rebound Ass" lets Keira and Malik share a meaningful moment, while an old friend of Chardonnay's arrives to throw her a divorce party.

10pm, ABC
Nashville
Rayna reclaims the limelight on her own terms in the face of rumors about her break-up with Luke in "I've Got Reasons to Hate You." Also hoping to seize the initiative: Juliette, whose pregnancy is making her impatient; Gunnar, who heads to Austin to patch things up with his nephew; and Scarlett, whose planned surprise for Deacon goes sideways.

10pm, FX
The Americans
Elizabeth and Philip gain more access to the CIA's Afghan Group in "Open House," though all they've really learned so far is that no one can agree on how to spell "mujahideen."

10pm, FXX
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The Jenningses aren't the only employees of the Fox family of networks engaged in espionage this week. "The Gang Spies Like U.S." sees Mac, Dennis, and Dee keeping careful watch on the fish factory, while Charlie and Frank entertain suspicions of their own.

10pm, NBC
Chicago P.D.
"Erin's Mom" has got it goin' on—and by "it," I of course mean concerns about a suspicious character who keeps patronizing her husband's rental company. Her tip draws the Intelligence squad into an ongoing robbery-homicide investigation, but Voight has doubts of his own about Bunny's motivation.

10:30pm, Comedy Central
Broad City
"Hashtag FOMO" sends the girls in search of the killer rager to end all killer ragers. But along the way, an aspect of Abbi emerges that confirms Ilana's deepest and darkest fear. [Cue dramatic music.] ["Alouette" plays.] FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, Karen, we JUST discussed this on Monday! I swear, it's like I'm talking to myself here.
