Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies
A three-part chronicle of cancer and of humanity's efforts to find a cure, based on Siddhartha Mukherjee's Pulitzer Prize-winning book. "Magic Bullets" begins the series with the advent of modern chemotherapy in the late 1940s. Parts 2 and 3 air Tuesday and Wednesday night, respectively, at 9pm.

Kal Penn hosts this new series, which uses data analysis and mapping to examine various topics. "Crime, Inc." begins the exploration with a look at how criminal organizations operate their businesses. Then "Treasure Hunt" follows modern-day seekers of hidden riches, such as gold deposits in Nevada, collectible baseball cards in Ohio, and the vital Longshot in the Water Temple.

Norman and Emma take a day off from the motel in "Unbreak-Able," which is bound to lead to all sorts of typical hookey hijinks like drinking ice cream shakes too fast and stabbing people. In "Reunion," Ryan and Mike follow a lead to a small town, where they stumble upon someone even deadlier than the person they were tracking in the first place—could it be Almost Human alum Michael Ealy, who makes his Following debut this week? Ordinarily, fighting crime by accident wouldn't breed much confidence, but in the case of these guys, it seems like at least a step in the right direction.
