What to Watch Tonight: The Following's Season 3 Premiere, Better Call Saul, and Star Wars Rebels' Season 1 Finale

What to watch on Monday, March 2...

8pm, Fox
Gotham
"Everyone Has a Cobblepot," posits this week's episode, and while I'm not entirely sure that's true, I suppose it's more stable than if everyone had, say, a Quinzel or a Zsasz. Even curiouser, ol' Pengy isn't even mentioned in the logline, which focuses on Gordon's investigation of the Commissioner Loeb controversy, Fish's apparent alliance with Dr. Dulmacher, and Bruce's recovery from an attack close to home.

8pm, ABC Family
The Fosters
Mariana channels her energy into a protest at school in "Now Hear This," while Callie goes to great lengths to help Kiara get out of a bad situation. Elsewhere, Jude insists that Conner finally be direct about their relationship.

8:30pm, CBS
Mike & Molly
Peggy's abrupt retirement announcement inspires Molly to throw her a farewell bash in "The World According to Peggy"—even as she wonders what exactly prompted the sudden life decision.

SEASON 1 FINALE, 9pm, Disney XD
Star Wars Rebels
The team mounts a rescue mission to free Kanan Jarrus from Imperial clutches in "Fire Across the Galaxy," while the Empire and the rebels battle over Mustafar. And to make sure the freshman season really goes out with a bang, Darth Vader and Bail Organa return and Fulcrum's true identity is unveiled.

SEASON 3 PREMIERE, 9pm, Fox
The Following
"New Blood" opens the season with Joe Carroll on death row and every trace of his various cults and cult-adjacent organizations apparently extinguished. Thus, the series has retooled as a serenely educational painting show, with Ryan Hardy sharing the ebullience of a color-dappled canvas and... wait, what's that? A new spate of grisly slayings to investigate? Sigh. I suppose shading the treeline of his latest Arcadian landscape will have to wait.

9pm, ABC Family
Chasing Life
April fears the worst after some of her cancer symptoms re-emerge in "Rest in Peace." Stress is also taking its toll on Brenna, as her college prep anxiety is compounded by Sara's high expectations. Sounds to me like everyone could use a nice relaxing episode of The Joy of Painting With Ryan Hardy (Formerly The Following).

9pm, TBS
American Dad!
Francine punishes Steve's sass by refusing to cook for him, but the newly self-sufficient lad proves to be an adept chef—so much so that he books a gig on a morning show. Meanwhile in "Morning Mimosa," Stan inverts an old Burt-Campbell-from-Soap quirk, coming to believe he can make other people invisible with a snap of his fingers.

10pm, MTV
Eye Candy
In "AMA," Lindy and Tommy delve into the Dark Net, which I'm pretty sure is a dungeon item from some Zelda game or another. In other disturbing developments, Lindy receives a message from the killer that may or may not be just a long string of stabby and fireworky emojis.

10pm, NBC
The Night Shift
"Back at the Ranch" finds the team treating the victim of an accidental shooting, and later sends TC to an out-of-control teenage ranch party where a young football star's life is on the line. Meanwhile, Jordan and Kenny try to help a beauty queen who's exhibiting troubling symptoms, and Topher makes a career decision.

10pm, AMC
Better Call Saul
Jimmy is caught betwixt rock and hard place after a bombshell disrupts his latest marketing ploy in "Alpine Shepherd Boy." You know what I always find helps clear my mind when faced with a tough choice? A soothing palette of watercolors. Sadly, Jimmy will have to wait another dozen years or so to bask in Find Your Shade of Zen With Ryan Hardy (Formerly The Joy of Painting With Ryan Hardy, Formerly The Following).
