What to Watch Tonight: Parks and Recreation and Kroll Show Begin Their Final Seasons, and Person of Interest Calls It a Trilogy

What to watch on Tuesday, January 13...

SEASON 7 PREMIERE, 8pm & 8:30pm, NBC
Parks and Recreation
Leslie has designs on founding a new national park, but she must vie with a tech company for control of the land in question as "2017" kicks off the sitcom's future-set final season. Then in "Ron and Jammy," Leslie and Ron set their differences aside to extricate Jeremy Jamm from Tammy 2's thrall, while Andy and Tom travel to the Windy City and Ben tries to help April discover her passion.

8pm, Nickelodeon
Nick News With Linda Ellerbee
"What Is Title IX and Why Do You Care?" examines the impact of the federal law designed to redress gender discrimination in high school and college athletics. Former U.S. Women's National soccer player and Olympic gold medalist Mia Hamm are among those sharing their experiences.

8pm, ABC Family
Pretty Little Liars
Toby finds himself in an ethical quandary after key evidence turns up at the police station in "Fresh Meat." Elsewhere, Emily and Aria go to great lengths to get a handle on spiraling circumstances.

8pm, CBS
NCIS
A rescue mission in Syria spurs a manhunt for an American-born terrorist in "The Enemy Within." Meanwhile, DiNozzo's strange behavior raises red flags for McGee and Bishop.

9pm, ABC
Marvel's Agent Carter
Peggy's search for Stark's pilfered tech proceeds apace in "Time and Tide." But will the SSR's arrest of Jarvis torpedo her mission entirely?

9pm, ABC Family
Switched at Birth
Daphne's pre-med struggles are only made worse by her selectively interpreting interpreter. Elsewhere in "Bracing the Waves," Bay tries to keep her long-distance relationship with Emmett afloat while enduring the rigors of her sentence, and Kathryn meets a movie producer who's interested in her book.

9pm, PBS
American Experience
"Klansville USA" chronicles the rapid rise of the Ku Klux Klan in North Carolina during the 1960s, led by businessman/scumbag Bob Jones. Historians, journalists, and representatives of the Southern Poverty Law Center share insights.

9pm, Fox
New Girl
In "Coming Out," Jess's efforts not to show Ryan any special treatment at school spark unforeseen (and unfortunate) consequences on a class field trip. Back at the loft, a new accessory grows on Winston while a new ulcer grows in Schmidt.

9pm, NBC
Marry Me
Annie and Jake's relationship weathers its toughest challenge to date in "Spoil Me," when evidence suggests that one of them watched the season finale of their favorite show without waiting for the other. ("Boo! Hiss!" declaim the TV.com cognoscenti at this clear breach of contemporary viewing etiquette!) Can a pair of cops (Rob Riggle and Natasha Leggero) and their trusty polygraph determine the guilty party?

9:30pm, Fox
The Mindy Project
Mindy sets out to bolster her social life in "San Francisco Bae," bumping into a (now loaded) ex-boyfriend in the process. Back in the Big Apple, Danny and Morgan scheme to spy on Peter when they suspect he's fooling around with Lauren on the sly.

9:30pm, NBC
About a Boy
Marcus talks Fiona into letting him stay home alone while she goes out with Chris in "About a Boy Becoming a Man." This being a sitcom, surely the evening will pass calmly and without incident or mishap of any kind. Meanwhile, Will accompanies Andy to a music mogul's son's Bar Mitzvah, and he's not just there for the kugel.

10pm, CBS
Person of Interest
Control, who's overseeing the government's relevant numbers, begins to have misgivings about the Samaritan program. Apparently giving unfettered power to an omniscient techno-deity might be a bad thing? Huh, live and learn. Meanwhile in "Control-Alt-Delete," the team desperately races to make sure Person of Interest didn't do that thing last week that it looked like it did last week because that is NOT OKAY, SHOW.

10pm, PBS
Frontline
"Putin's Way" examines Vladimir Putin's reign in Russia, including longstanding allegations of corruption and kleptocracy as well as his increasing pugnacity at home and abroad.

10pm, BET
Real Husbands of Hollywood
When Jackie forgets to pick him up at the airport, Kevin catches a ride with supermodel Jessica White in "Model Behavior." Zany misadventures ensue, as zany misadventures are wont to do in these types of situations.

10pm, Bravo
Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce
Abby throws her daughter a birthday bash in "Rule #67: Don't Kill the Princess," but Jake and his youthful actress girlfriend crash the festivities. Also potentially showing up uninvited: a bun in Abby's oven?

10pm, ABC
Forever
The investigation of a framed ex-con in "Diamonds Are Forever" dredges up painful memories for Jo, whose deceased husband Sean had ties to the victim. In flashbacks, Henry lands in the clink alongside a priest in Regency Era London.

10pm, NBC
Chicago Fire
Severide and Dawson turn up new evidence about the fire that claimed Shay's life, while Chief Boden endures a visit from his opinionated father (Richard Roundtree). Elsewhere in "Ambush Predator," the firehouse pulls together after Chaplain Orlovsky is injured in a car accident.

10pm, TBS
Ground Floor
Mansfield's annual hoops tourney pits the upstairs team against the downstairs—and pits Brody against Jenny. Meanwhile in "Love & Basketball," Harvard and Lindsay go on their first date, thanks to Derrick's machinations.

10:30pm, TBS
Cougar Town
Chick plans to attend his Civil War reenactment in "Full Grown Boy," but a fretful Jules would rather he stick to safer pursuits. Around the Cul-de-Sac, Bobby contemplates a job offer far from home, and Travis enlists Ellie to torpedo Laurie's baby-name suggestions.

SEASON 3 PREMIERE, 10:30pm, Comedy Central
Kroll Show
Bobby Bottleservice and his housemates let their skills on the basketball court determine who gets the boot in "Gigolo H-O-R-S-E." Over in "Wheels, Ontario," Mikey gets hooked on pills.
