You Should Watch This Video of the State of Staten Island

Filmmaker Casey Neistiat and former professional hockey player Sean Avery drove out to Staten Island on Saturday and captured some disturbing footage of what it's like out there. Neistat made a great video of the storm while it was happening and was able to get $500 for letting someone use some of the footage. Neistiat and Avery used the money to buy clothes and supplies for SI resident who were hit by the storm. We see rows and rows of garbage being taken out of houses and piled in the streets. There are two separate shots of the top of one house being separated from the bottom. In one instance, it's unclear where the top of the house came from. The bottom is unaccounted for. Neistat and the glimpses of the volunteer effort keep this video from being a documentary about loss, and instead it's about helping each other overcome the insurmountable.
