What to Watch This Weekend: The Season Finales of Banshee and Episodes, the End of The Jinx, and the Debut of E!'s The Royals

What to watch on Friday, March 13...

NEXT: Saturday, March 14 | Sunday, March 15

8:30pm, ABC
Cristela
"Confirmation" tests Cristela's loyalty when she promises to be Henry's sponsor at his confirmation ceremony and then is asked to join Trent at a fundraiser. Trent also lands in a tough spot after Maddie posts a video that appears to show him making racist remarks.

9pm, Fox
Glee
New Directions and the Warblers square off at sectionals in "We Built This Glee Club," while Rachel debates whether to return to NYADA or to join a Broadway show alongside ex-beau Jesse St. James.

9pm, Syfy
12 Monkeys
"Tomorrow" places Cole amidst the height of the plague in 2017, which is something I definitely don't remember coming up during the recent final season of Parks and Recreation. With options dwindling, Jones must make a critical decision to replace the core.

9pm, CBS
Hawaii Five-0
A man being targeted by a gang finds sanctuary with McGarrett and Odell in "Kahania (Close Shave)," at least until Odell's barbershop comes under siege. Elsewhere, Jerry is wrongfully accused of a spate of home invasions.

SEASON 3 FINALE, 10pm, Cinemax
Banshee
Lucas thinks back on a secret time in his life, but honestly, manning a booth at Thundercats fan conventions for six straight years is nothing to be ashamed of. Meanwhile in "We All Pay Eventually," Proctor and Rebecca head to Philadelphia to settle a score and gain a new ally along the way, Gordon joins Lucas for negotiations with Stowe in Genoa, and Job blames Carrie for exposing the group.

10pm, Syfy
Helix
"Ectogenesis" sends Alan, Kyle, and Winger into the woods looking for the red tree sap that might cure the pathogen. But first they'll need to wander around for a while and do some level-grinding, because the miniboss guarding that sap is one nasty customer.

11pm, IFC
Comedy Bang! Bang!
Zach Galifianakis drops by on a lethargic day at the studio, which finds Scott struggling mightily to keep everyone from slipping off into dreamland. In the midst of that, Reggie, fantasizes about playing with Tears for Fears.

11:30pm, Cartoon Network
The Jack and Triumph Show
"Siri" pits Triumph against Apple's virtual personal assistant in a battle of wills. This strikes me as not unlike the time I was sucked into a bitter feud with the tutorial mode on the Apple IIGS.

LATE-NITE:
– Kevin Bacon, Jimmie Walker, and The Airborne Toxic Event on Late Show with David Letterman, 11:35pm, CBS

Good Witch
Something may be amiss when Cassie's guest Ashley up and disappears in "Do the Right Thing." Meanwhile the rest of Middleton is dealing with a ruckus of its own, thanks to a pair of visitors who arrive just ahead of the heritage ball, since TV Law dictates that no small-town festival may go un-ruckus'd.

The boys must squire the Queen to safety after she is deemed a traitor in "The Accused." Can they prove that Rochefort is a sinister Spanish spy and clear their monarch's good name?

7:30pm, Fox
Bob's Burgers
"Adventures in Chinchilla-sitting" sends Louise scrambling after the school pet escapes while in her care. In decidedly less exciting escapades, Bob's notion of romance falls far short of Linda's expectations on their out-of-town date.

SERIES FINALE, 8pm, HBO
The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst
The filmmakers wrap up their exploration of their subject and his alleged crimes.

8pm, ABC
Once Upon a Time
Regina must tap into her villainous side as she infiltrates the Queens of Darkness, while Emma, David, and Mary Margaret try to keep tabs on their spy. Elsewhere in "Enter the Dragon," Hook has an odd request for Belle, Henry comes one step closer to the Author, and in Fairy Tale Land, Regina and Maleficent strike up a bond.

8pm, Fox
The Simpsons
In "Waiting for Duffman," the venerable beer mascot (here portrayed by Stacy Keach) retires and holds a reality show competition to anoint his successor (perhaps with the help of guest-star Cat Deeley). Presumably, anyone who enters said competition other than Homer has never seen The Simpsons before, because c'mon, we all know who's gonna get the gig.

8:30pm, Fox
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
A down-on-his-luck Jake is convinced that a nemesis is to blame for his woes—listen all y'all, it's a "Sabotage." While Amy and Rosa look into that possibility, Charles is forced to work a case with Scully and Hitchcock, and Gina is hurt when Captain Holt disparages her dance troupe.

9pm, ESPN
30 for 30
"I Hate Christian Laettner" profiles the Duke University basketball star, whose heights of success in the NCAA Tournament were rivaled by the depths of disdain expressed about him by many peers and fans.

9pm, AMC
The Walking Dead
"Spend" pits the group against numerous challenges as they try to secure their new home. For one thing, given Rick's credit history, there's just no way they'll get an APR under 6 percent on that 15-year fixed-rate mortgage.

9pm, CBS
The Good Wife
Prady takes aim at Peter's gubernatorial track record in "Open Source," which leaves Alicia mulling whether to follow suit, and leaves me happy for the chance to use the word "gubernatorial." At Florrick/Agos/Lockhart, a case involving a faulty gun created by a 3D printer requires the expert testimony of Kurt McVeigh, but drives a wedge between him and Diane.

9pm, Showtime
Shameless
In "Carl's First Sentencing," Fiona helps her brother prepare for a court hearing. Meanwhile, Lip falls into bed with a professor, Ian realizes he needs his meds after all, and Frank gives his doctor a tour of his world.

9pm, HBO
Girls
Hannah handles a family crisis poorly in "Daddy Issues," while Marnie finds a way to make Ray's campaign party all about her, because Marnie. In other awkwardness, various tensions simmer among Jessa, Ace, Mimi-Rose, and Adam.

9pm, ABC
Secrets and Lies
Newfound knowledge about Natalie prompts Ben to confront the Richardsons in "The Sister." Elsewhere, Cornell verifies the murder weapon and blindsides Ben with another revelation.

9pm, Fox
Family Guy
New relationship counselor Cleveland offers pearls of wisdom to the Griffins in "Dr. C and the Women," leading an irritated Peter to threaten retaliation. Meanwhile, Meg becomes the belle of the ball after taking a job at the airport.

9:30pm, Fox
The Last Man on Earth
The future of the human race is entirely in Phil's hands in "Sweet Melissa." (I mean, if you want to be all glass-half-empty about it, the human race is well below minimum viable population and therefore irrevocably doomed already, but hey, let's let him have this one.)

SERIES PREMIERE, 10pm, E!
The Royals
Elizabeth Hurley stars as Her Majesty in E!'s first-ever scripted series, which follows the tawdry tribulations of a fictional British royal family. "Stand and Unfold Yourself" kicks things off with Queen Helena striving to maintain the monarchy's dignity, while Prince Liam and Princess Eleanor struggle to adapt to their new roles in the wake of their elder brother's untimely demise.

10pm, HBO
Looking
At his mother's urging, Patrick spends a day at the zoo with his sister in "Looking for Sanctuary." Later, he accompanies Kevin on an apartment hunt, which will likely involve fewer giraffes (not no giraffes, probably; just fewer). Meanwhile, a financial blow sparks a rift between Dom and Doris, and Eddie encourages Agustín to create artwork for the shelter.

10pm, ABC
Revenge
Donning her best star-spangled top hat, Natalie throws an Independence Day gala and asks David to be her date in "Retaliation." In less patriotic proceedings, Margaux ramps up her vengeful machinations.

10pm, CBS
Battle Creek
In "Man's Best Friend," Russ and Milt harbor opposing theories over why the BCPD's police dog sniffed out heroin in a little girl's backpack. As it happens I have my own theory as well, one involving the CIA's clandestine ties to the Girl Scouts of America and their elaborate scheme to destabilize the economy of Luxembourg. For some reason, though, the BCPD has stopped taking my calls.

10pm, Showtime
House of Lies
Marty clashes with a turnaround artist who Denna deployed to spark business in "We're Going to Build a Mothership and Rule the Universe." Meanwhile, Jeannie is invited to dinner at Chez Kaan, and Clyde's had all he can stands and he can't stands no more with his father.

SEASON 4 FINALE, 10:30pm, Showtime

The Box is ready to launch, but Beverly and Carol aren't ready to divulge their friendship to Helen.
