Weird western weather has snow in Vancouver while Winnipeggers hitting the links

Mother Nature has opened her bag of tricks in Western Canada with snow in Vancouver while Winnipeg residents are hitting the links.

A late winter snowfall hit downtown Vancouver and the North Shore and more snow is forecast.

Several Winnipeg golf courses opened on the weekend and with a high of 25C forecast, they're expected to be busy.

Alberta and Saskatchewan aren't off the hook, either.

While Edmonton and Calgary are sitting under sunny skies and normal temperatures for this time of year, people who live along the Alberta-Saskatchewan boundary are dealing with winter storm warnings.

Forecasters say some areas may get as much as 50 centimetres of snow and RCMP Cpl. Rob King says there is zero visibility on highways in the Maple Creek, Sask., area due to blowing snow.
