Hancock Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Quincy along with Colonial Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Weymouth and Harbor House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Hingham has implemented SigmaCare® Mobile Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for Long Term Care. The SigmaCare® EMR allows centers to document and access vital patient information anywhere, at any time, using a computer or hand-held mobile device.

    The Welch Group’s implementation of this real-time, point-of-care technology supports healthcare initiatives at the federal level that call for the creation of a national health information technology infrastructure to increase efficiencies, improve patient safety and enhance quality of care. “An EMR allows healthcare professionals to improve the quality of care by keeping records immediately up-to-date, accurate and easily accessible,” says Michael Welch, vice president, Welch Healthcare & Retirement Group. The SigmaCare software also alerts providers of possible adverse drug effects for any given patient and offers a comprehensive drug reference guide.

    With EMR, healthcare providers can:
